History

BUILT IN 1876

by William Oscar Bentley for his bride-to-be, Mary Ann, this Victorian home was born from a promise of love. Although, Mary Ann never had the chance to live here and William sold the home to his brother Joseph Bentley. Over the years, the home hosted a great deal of the social life in St. George. The elegant Christmas decorations and adult parties were anticipated events of that festive season. In 1908, it passed from the Bentley family to local pioneer Thomas Judd, who added his own mark to the property by establishing the iconic storefront out front. read more

Now lovingly restored and reimagined, The Bentley House once again opens its doors to love stories—both old and new. Today, The Bentley House stands as a gathering place for weddings, events, and the love stories of a new generation.
